Africa To Miss Out On Wednesdays Lunar Eclipse

If you missed Aprils total eclipse of the moon, nows your chance. But youll need to get up early. But dont bother if you are in Africa. It also will be visible across Australia and much of Asia. Only Europe, Africa and the eastern tip of Brazil wont get the show. Wednesday morning, if the skies are clear, North Americans will have prime viewing of a full lunar eclipse, especially in the West. The full moon will be obscured by Earths shadow in the predawn hours. The total eclipse will last an hour until sunrise on the East Coast. The moon will appear orange or red, the result of sunlight scattering off Earths atmosphere. Thats why its called a blood moon. Therell be two full lunar eclipses again next year.
