ROUND 2: Adakabre Vs New YES Boss...'Me Man Nti' Host Poses 33 Questions

Ace Broadcaster, Adakabre Frimpong Manso, has responded to a call to retract and apologize comments deemed slanderous by the Lawyers of Ms. Helga Boadi, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Youth Enterprise Support (YES) Fund, by posing thirty-three questions, which could possibly bring clarity to the matter. Under the instructions of their client, Ms. Boadi, Lawyers demanded an unqualified apology from the Host of Me Man Nti on NEAT 100.9 FM, for spurious, false and defamatory statements against their client. Ms. Boadi was not particularly happy with false impressions that she believed had been created by Adakabre and warned that she would seek legal redress if steps are not taken to correct that notion. However, in a response, Adakabre Frimpong Manso has put forward a set of thirty�three (33) questions, which answers would be forwarded to the Presidency, the Minister of Justice, the First Atlantic Bank, Lawyers of Ms. Boadi and the Governing Board of the Youth Enterprise Support (YES) Fund. Below are the set of thirty-three questions Adakabre wants answered. 1. Can you confirm Ms Helga Boadi was previously in your employ? 2. Can you confirm she held positions as Head of Corporate Affairs and also Head of Wealth Mgt? 3. Was there an instance during her tenure that the bank had to debit a fmr senior employee by name Mr Boateng Frimpong's account at the instance of AMEX on two subsequent billing statements of �8,000 and �4000 and the said employee protested his innocence about not incurring such expenditure? 4. Has the bank ever sought the expert opinion from AMEX in respect of an issue of one cardholder being debited by purchases made by a different card holder? 5. Can you tell us whether there exist in your official records an Expert Opinion Report from AMEX? 6. If the answer to the previous question is yes, can you tell us abt the conclusion of the said AMEX expert opinion report? 7. Did Ms Boadi ever accept two separate bills of �8,000 and �4,000 which had previously been charged to the account of the senior employee by both AMEX and yourself? 8. Has the bank ever reversed 2 debits totaling �12,000 charged onto the local account of Mr Boateng Frimpong previously in your employ? 9. Can you tell us why you had to reverse those debits? 10. Can you confirm Ms Helga Boadi accepted the said debts previously charged on Mr Boateng Frimpong's AMEX account and subsequently onto his local account held by yourselves? 11. Did Ms Boadi accept that those purchases that had been charged onto Mr Boateng Frimpong's AMEX account were indeed made by her? 12. Did the bank ever debit the account of Ms Helga Boadi's local cedi account with an amount of �12,000 in cedi equivalent in respect of the purchases that had been charged onto Mr Boateng Frimpong's account previously and that Ms Boadi later upon confrontation accepted? 13. Did the bank take any disciplinary action against Ms Helga Boadi then? 14. Why did the bank not take any action against Ms Boadi when she finally accepted responsibility of the two separate bills of �8,000 and �4,000 totaling �12,000 which AMEX and your bank had previously charged onto Mr Boateng Frimpong account though he had denied knowledge of the said expenditure? 15. Did Mr Boateng Frimpong formally write to the bank to protest against the unfair treatment meted out to him by the way the bank handled the Credit Card issue? 16. Did your bank respond to Mr Boateng Frimpong's protest letter? 17. Why did your bank not respond to the protest letter of Mr Boateng Frimpong? 18. Did Ms Helga Boadi ever cash a cheque with the face value of ghc 100,000 over the counter in disregard of your banking regulations supported by the Bank of Ghana directives? 19. Can you confirm the said cheque had previously been returned at Clearing with the accompanying note that the mandate of the signatory to the cheque did not exceed ghc 20,000? 20. Did a banking Teller ever include in her notes that Ms Boadi had instructed her to honor a cheque to her personal favor with the face value of ghc 100,000 over the counter when, 1. She had indicated to Ms Boadi that the mandate of the signatory did not exceed ghc 20,000? And 2. That it was against the Bank of Ghana directives to cash ghc 100,000 over the counter? 21. Can you confirm it was the same cheque that had been returned at clearing earlier? 22. Did the bank constitute a panel over the cash cheque over the counter issue and consequently sacked Ms Boadi? 23. Did Ms Boadi submit to the panel that the said ghc 100,000 was an inducement fee for a deposit she had gone for? 24. In effect the said ghc 100,000 actually belonged to the bank? 25. Can you describe the purported action of Ms Boadi as an attempt to appropriate the banks funds to herself? 26. Is there any policy of the bank in respect of inducement fees for deposits brought in by staff of the bank? 27. Did the bank include in their sacking correspondence that Ms Helga Boadi's action constituted a gross misconduct? 28. Did the bank notify the Bank of Ghana over the sacking of Ms Helga Bosdi? 29. Was there ever a heated clash at the board level in respect of expenditure levels relating to the renovation of the bank's facilities which Ms Boadi was directly responsible? 30. Was it because of issues relating to the preceding question that Mr Ofori, your former acting MD was not confirmed in the substantive role as MD? 31. Was there an instance at all when a customer of the bank complained of a missing $80,000 in his account and threatened to sue the bank? 32. Is it true the bank absolved itself of any blame and upon further scrutiny found out and proved to the customer that indeed his said $80,000 had been drawn with his own cheque leaflet, that the cheque had his mandated signature, that, the cheque had been withdrawn by Ms. Helga Boadi? 33. Does the bank accept the suggestion that the customer subsequently upon that revelation discontinued further litigation with the bank?
