Alan Heavyweight In Upper East Joins Nana

Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Binduri constituency were on Sunday thrown into pleasant shock when Abanga Abdulai, a former District Chief Executive (DCE) of Bawku and kingpin of Alan Kyerematen in the Upper East Region declared his support for Nana Akufo-Addo in the upcoming presidential primary of the NPP. Hon. Abanga Abdulai, who made this declaration public at a meeting of polling station executives and Electoral Area coordinators in the Binduri Constituency, is the latest in a long list of persons formerly with Alan Kyerematen to have declared their support for Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of the October 18 primary. Speaking to executives who would all be voting to elect the partys presidential candidate for the 2016 election, Abanga Abdulai stated that though he had been a strong supporter of Alan Kyerematen in the past and had virtually been the face of the Alan Kyerematen campaign in the Upper East at a point, it has become obvious to him that Nana Akufo-Addo is the best bet for the NPP for the 2016 election and the one who could deliver victory for the party. You know me, and I know you know that I was instrumental in the campaign of a particular presidential aspirant, but I am telling you today that currently there is no man in the NPP best placed to unite and deliver victory for the party in 2016 other than Nana Akufo-Addo. There will be a lot of claims, but what is very obvious to me is that the party is solidly united behind Nana Akufo- Addo and he is the one the party trusts to lead us to the Jubilee House. He is also the one millions of Ghanaians are calling for to redeem us from these hardships. I know that Insha Allah, Nana Akufo-Addo will lead us to victory in 2016, he said. Hon. Abanga Abdulai also touched on the credentials of Dr. Bawumia, who he described as a brother and noted that the duo Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia was best suited to deal comprehensively with the countrys problems. He urged all the delegates in the upcoming primary to vote overwhelmingly for Nana Akufo-Addo to send a clear message to the nation as the party did on August 31. The meeting on Sunday also saw all the delegates in the Binduri constituency, made up of polling station executives, electoral area coordinators and constituency executives, publicly declaring their support for Nana Akufo-Addo. They indicated that the constituency was ready to deliver a 100% margin of victory for Nana Akufo-Addo come October 18.
