VIDEO: October 18 Election Is For Unity Not War Addai Nimo

One of the New Patriotic Party (NPPs) flagbearer hopeful, Francis Addai Nimo believes the partys upcoming National Delegates Congress will rather unite the party irrespective of who wins. The NPP, as part of its constitutional requirements held a Super Delegates Congress on August, 31, 2014 to prune the seven aspirants vying to lead the party to five. The five were; Nana Akufo-Addo, Alan Kyerematen, Kofi Osei Ameyaw, Francis Addai Nimo and Joe Ghartey, but Joe Ghartey and Kofi Osei Ameyaw have bowed out after the election. However, the party will on October 18, hold another election to elect an ultimate candidate to lead the party in the 2016 presidential race. Although pressure was mounted on the remaining two who made it into the next stage with Nana Akufo-Addo to step down, Francis Addai-Nimo kept to his feet and will be vying for the flagbearership position with two-time presidential candidate, Nana Addo and another strong contender, Alan Kyerematen. Addai Nimo who polled 2.97 percent at the Congress said his vision for the party is to win power from the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] but the party needs someone like him who can inculcate some unity and oneness in the elephant fraternity. Currently touring the Ashanti Region, Addai Nimo has advised delegates not to sell their votes for money but rather elect a united leader who can wrestle power from the NDC in the next presidential election. He however urged all delegates to vote massively for him come October 18 to bring the elephant back from the bush, thus, lead the party to win power in 2016.
