Bernd Schuster Denies Applying For Ghana Job

Reports from Germany say former Real Madrid boss Bernd Schuster has denied knowledge about the Black Stars job. Schuster is believed to have told sports1 (a Monday night sports show) in an interview that he never applied for the Ghana job. A source in Germany who watched the show live confirmed to Ghanasportsonline.com that Schuster categorically denied ever applying for the job. It goes on to say Schuster admitted that 'somebody' in the Ghana FA contacted his agent about the vacant Ghana job and promised them he could help him land it. But he (Schuster) never gave his word so somebody in Ghana applied on his behalf. And he only saw his name in the media today that he has been shortlisted. The 54-year-old thus becomes the third candidate to have revealed unawareness about a supposed Black Stars coaching job after Dutch-man Patrick Kluivert and Italian Marco Tardelli similarly denied applying for the top job.
