On Saturday, 18th October, 2014, the New Patriotic Party will go through an election process to elect one out of three candidates, as their flagbearer. Nana Akufo-Addo, Alan Kyerematen and Francis Addai Nimoh will however not to be fortunate, to receive the endorsement of former President Kufour as they seek to lead the party. From lessons learnt, the former president has decided not to throw his weight behind any candidate and end up being made a scapegoat. His posture to remain neutral has been backed by a member of the National Democratic Congress, who believes it is the right decision to take considering his status. Mr. Ametor Quarmyne stated on UTV that certain observers would immediately develop laser eyes and be able to tell which candidate Mr. Kufour voted for should he make a move to vote on this weekend. He claims the nation has witnessed such a thing before and some NPP members had even accused him (Kufour) of not supporting Nana Akufo Addo�s presidential bid because he prefers Alan Kyeremanten.
