Cooperation After Competition; Struggle To Take Over Power From NDC Begins Now! Says Alan K

Defeated New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Aspirant, John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has indicated that with the contest for the election of flagbearer for the opposition party now over, the struggle to take over power from the NDC in 2016 had just started. In a touching concession speech moments after the Electoral Commission (EC) officially declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo winner of the polls, the former Ghana's Ambassador to the U.S.A and later Minister of Trade, Industry, Private Sector Development (PSD) and the Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI), under the erstwhile Kufuor-led NPP government, stressed that in the NPP, "we believe in competition and after that cooperation" to deafening cheers from the mammoth crowd gathered at the Efua Sutherland Children's Park. Whiles congratulating Nana Akufo whom he described as an elder brother and friend, he pledged his unflinching support for the flagbearer-elect. "At long last the battle is over, and the struggle to take over power from the NDC in 2016 with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as President has now begun...brothers and sisters, in our party, we believe in competition and after that cooperation," Alan Kyeremanten stated.
