Many political pundits have attributed Alan Kyerematen�s unpopularity in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the fact that he spends most of his time outside the NPP and the country.
According to them, Alan after every internal election goes back to his business outside the country, leaving the �hardwork� for others in the party to do.
On Saturday, 18th October, 2014, the NPP held an election to elect a flagbearer. However, Alan Kyerematen who was one of the candidates lost to Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo by a large margin.
In view of this, many are wondering if he will go back to his duties outside the country or stay in Ghana to help the NPP win the 2016 elections.
The question was put to Alan during an interview on PEACE FM morning show �Kokrokoo� by Kwami Sefa Kayi. According to him, it is never true that he has been running away when it is time for �hardwork� and that in 2008, he helped Nana Addo in his campaign �for a whole year�.
