British Airways Celebrates a Unique 77 Years In Ghana

For 77 years, British Airways has proved its pedigree by being the airline most preferred by passengers travelling from Accra to London and the rest of the world. In celebration of this feat as the oldest commercial passenger airline operating in Ghana, British Airways offered its Ghanaian passengers very special treat of reduced, all-inclusive ticket prices to London and New York. British Airways also teamed up with Accra-based Citi FM to run a radio promotion, which sought customer feedback on the airline and its London hub, as part of the celebrations. We wanted to give something back to our customers for their dedication to us over the past 77 years, and what better gift than a holiday in London? says Moran Birger, British Airways Commercial Manager for Ghana. Birger said he was impressed with the diversity of answers that came from customers. We came across some of the classic London landmarks like Big Ben and the London Eye, and some really rich ones like titillating and momentous! Birger and his team settled for the 77 most popular words from the promotion and compiled these into an image based on British Airways iconic tailfin design.
