Aspiring Central Region Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Bernard Allotey Jacobs has condemned calls for an older person to lead Ghana after many believe the incumbent president who is younger is disappointing. Opposition NPP's two-time flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is 70 years old and again will be leading the elephant fraternity to battle the presidency with President John Dramani Mahama come 2016. His third coming is alleged to be causing some fear and panic within the NDC since electorates are now rallying and willing to vote for an elderly to accomplish Ghana�s aim and strengthen the economy which is now being managed poorly under the NDC Mahama-led government. Although the NDC is very optimistic of sending Nana Addo to his third defeat in 2016, the perception is that, Ghanaians want 70-year-old Nana Addo to be president. However, in an interview with OKAY FM�s on the Ade Akye Abia programme, Allotey Jacobs affectionately called the �Educated Fisherman� is of a view that, Nana Addo�s age will not guarantee him to be a good leader. �If you are old, it doesn�t automatically make you a wise man [thus, you can be foolish as well]. And if you are young, it doesn�t make you energetic either,� he opined.
