Katakyie Kwame Opoku Agyemang, a leading Member of the group "Get Alan Kyerematen Elected" (GAKE) has called on the newly elected Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to be strategic in appointing a running mate this time around. On his word, the Late President John Evans Atta Mills was able to win in 2008 because he changed his running mate after every election he lost because whoever he appointed did not add anything to his electoral fortunes until he settled for now President John Mahama. �..it has always been a Nana, Bawumia ticket. What has the Nana, Bawumia ticket brought to us? What we need to do now that the delegates have chosen Akufo-Addo, is to bring someone like Alan Kyerematen aboard because of the fact that the people of the Volta region, where the NDC has its �World bank� like him�. �As for Bawumia, we can pacify him with the position of a Finance Minister since he is an economist,� he said on Okay FM�s Ade Akye Abia program. Opoku Agyemang continued by making a passionate appeal to Akufo-Addo to give Alan Kyerematen a major role to play in his campaign and the position of running mate or campaign manager would be ideal. He however, warned the Presidential candidate of the NPP not to approach the 2016 elections with the same sluggishness that was seen in the last two general elections by making the right decisions this time around.
