Nana-Bawumia Ticket Does Not Guarantee Victory In 2016 Arthur Kennedy

A member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy insists the party risk losing the 2016 elections if it does not learn from its past electoral mistakes. In his view, retaining an Akufo-Addo-Bawumia ticket will not translate into an automatic win for the party in 2016 General Elections. The partys National Council gave the former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana an overwhelming endorsement to partner Nana Akufo-Addo for the third time. Prior to that, many party members had said Dr. Bawumia will be a good economic manager should the party win power. But Arthur Kennedy on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme Thursday said it is erroneous to think 2016 will be a cool chop for the NPP. He noted that until a thorough post mortem is conducted into the mistakes made in the 2008 and 2012 elections, victory will be a mirage. The former Communications Director described as worrying the dwindling electoral fortunes of the party. He said the NPP can boast of possessing immeasurable pool of talents and perfect ideas and policy but without the right strategy, it will lose the election. Dr. Arthur Kennedy also urged the NPP not to play the ostrich because anyone who will think there is unity in the NPP is not serious.
