YFM Launched In Kumasi

Ghana�s premier youth radio station, YFM has finally launched in Kumasi to complete the �Golden Triangle� after Y107.9 FM and Y97.9 FM in Accra and Takoradi respectively. The station officially went live at the corporate launch event which was held last weekend at The View Lounge & Bar at Ahodwo in the garden city. Present at the exciting ceremony were the entire Y102.5 FM crew together with friends from the media, existing and prospective clients as well as some celebrity friends. Speaking at the function, the Head of Corporate Communications for Global Media Alliance, the mother company for Y FM, Ms. Naomi Nelson said the YFM brand has achieved yet another milestone by finally arriving in Kumasi. �Now we are here today, proud to officially add Kumasi to our growing YFM brand. YFM in Kumasi therefore means that not only have we made the full �Golden Triangle� as we call it, but it also marks the beginning of a new exciting journey for us�. She also assured their existing and yet-to-be clients of the best deals to keep them coming back for more. New HipLife duo Gallaxy climaxed the launch with their hit track �Bokoboko�. The day after the corporate launch, the station that has given Ghanaians the best of entertainment over the past 6 years did what they do best with a hit outdoor musical concert dubbed Y-Invasion at the Republic Hall of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The Y-Invasion featured top performers in the likes of the sensational Bisa K�dei, dancehall artiste Stone Bwoy and the master story teller, Okomfo Kwadee who wowed the crowd with many of his hit tracks in a performance many described as the resurrection of Kwadee. Most of the people in Kumasi expressed their excitement at the arrival of Y102.5 FM and said they expect a new era of radio experience with the advent of the YFM brand in the region. Y102.5 FM will broadcast exciting trademark programmes like Y-Lounge, Ryse &Shyne, Mid-morning Show, Dryve of Your Lyfe, Y-Campus Express and Room Service among others in Kumasi.
