Poor Attendance At Voters' Register Exhibition

Mr Isaac Sam, Exhibition Officer of the Electoral Commission (EC), at Kasoa in the Central Region, said on Monday that there is public apathy in the patronage of the exhibition of the Voters Register. The exercise is meant for the public to check their data in the register to enable the EC to purge it for future elections. He said so far only 40 people have so far checked their names and other details since the voters register was opened at the Roman Catholic polling centre in the past four days at Kasoa. He also blamed the inertia on insufficient publicity on the exercise. Mr Sam, urged voters to proceed to the centre and check their names in their own Interest in order to exercise their franchise in subsequent elections.
