Nana Fitz Begs Alhaji Grunzah...

Football administrator Nana Fitz has called for truce on the King Faisal-Aduana Stars legal tussle that has stalled the commencement of the 2014/15 Ghana Premier League. The former Cornerstone boss suggested that settling the matter out of court is the best of options taking into account the telling effects the protracted case will have on the domestic league. In an interview, he said, I am appealing to the parties involved to make this issue an out of court one. They should come to a compromise for the sake of the league. When the league is on recess, it affects so many things, the seller who makes a living during match days is denied of his or her income, club owners struggle to pay salaries because there are no matches, and no gate proceeds. If we dont handle what is happening well, it will even discourage potential sponsors from rallying behind the league. I want to believe that the title sponsor of the league, First Capital Plus, has regretted sponsoring the league. I want to again appeal especially to the aggrieved party, Alhaji Gruzah, to soften his stand for the sake of fair play and to save our league. We shouldnt also forget that the matter would be settled no matter what, but the situation would have gone worse after the resolution. I hear the case has been adjourned to next month, what is the guarantee that it would be resolved on the scheduled date? It could be postponed again, when that happens, it is our league, the young men who are pursuing their respective careers, that will suffer, Nana said. Alhaji Gruzah, owner of King Faisal is seeking redress at the Human Rights courts regarding a point deduction stalemate between his side and Domaa-based Aduana Stars during last seasons league that led to the demotion of his team.
