Assistant coach of Amidaus professionals, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has reiterated her desire to handle any of the female national teams. The former FIFA referee who is a CAF license B coaching certificate holder is aiming at becoming the first female coach to manage any of the national teams. The ex-Black Queens player who is considered as the only recognized female coach in the country wants to augment her CV by earning an opportunity to take up the top job in the female national teams, thus Black Queens, Black Princesses and the Black Maidens. �This is my third year ever since I started coaching, and with the license I have I can coach the national team,� she spoke to Asempa Fm. �My performance will determine if I can coach the national team or not, and you will testify it if you come to my training grounds and see the way I conduct my training exercise�. �You always think about the ultimate when you are working. My ultimate was to play at the World Cup when I was playing and I was able to play at the World Cup. I wanted to officiate at the World stage as a referee and again I was able to do so�. �So as a coach my ultimate is to coach the national team and qualify them to the World Cup as well, so am just waiting for that opportunity�. Mercy Tagoe who was once named as the best referee in Ghana officiated at the 2007 FIFA Women�s World Cup in China. She was a member of the Black Queens squad that qualified to the World Cup for the first time in 1999.
