GFA To Name New Black Stars Coach After Uganda-Togo AFCON Qualifiers

Ghanasportsonline.com sources close to the Ghana Football Association has revealed that a new Black Stars coach will be named after Ghanas double African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Uganda and Togo in November. It was reported last month that the FA might name a successor for the departed Kwasi Appiah after Ghanas AFCON qualifier against Guinea earlier this month, but sources at the Ghana FA have indicated that the Football Association is planning on naming a new coach after the Black Stars final two games in the qualifiers. The situation means substantive coach Maxwell Konadu will still be in charge of the team for the remaining matches in the qualifiers. The Nations football governing body after interviewing three expatriates coaches [Avram Grant, Michel Pont and Juan Ignacio Jimenez] are yet to decided on the appointment of a new Black Stars coach. Avram Grant, who is a former coach of English giants Chelsea has been highly rated to take up the top job but will face stiff competition from French-man Michel Pont and Spaniard Juan Ignacio Jimenez who have also been considered as perfect men for the vacant post.
