Gospel Theater To Spread The Gospel Through Drama

The good book (Bible) has in many times and ways advised Christians and all in the Christ-oriented fraternity to advance the spread of the gospel to all nations. In line with the realization of this agenda task, has necessitated the fore bearing of a monthly Christian oriented drama event christened, the Gospel Theatre Variety Show. A number of approaches have been adopted in the propagation of the gospel and drama seem to be the approach deemed fit for the organizers of the event. The gospel theatre variety show is bent on making the gospel more visualized in order for the in-depth understanding of the gospel to be attained whiles saving lost souls for Christ and unearthing not-so-much used talents in our various churches to the glory of God. The initiation of this concept has really caught on well with Christians and the general public that they have been pledging their support to be at the national theatre on the 15 November 2014 for the first edition of this laudable ingenuity. Speaking with the communication director for the event, Akwasi Anim said; the response from the churches and the general public has been a great triumph over the negative notion out there that Christians do not support their own events. He further added that, the monthly event is here to stay with us and that I will urge all Christians to support gospel theatre. The first edition of the gospel theatre variety show will see some delightful stage acting from churches like ICGC Drama Group (Perez Generation), Action Chapel Drama Group, Kristo Asafo Drama Group on Saturday, 15 November 2014 at the National Theatre from 12 noon to 6:30pm. Tickets for the event can be bought from premises of the various performing churches or at the entrance of the national theatre for GH10. The event is being put together by the Film Research Centre of Ghana and in collaboration with the National Theatre.
