Ghanaian Politicians Live Like Arab Sheikhs Nunoo-Mensah

A former National Security Advisor, Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah (Rtd), has condemned the grandiose lifestyle of Ghanaian politicians when the masses are wallowing in abject poverty. The retired army officer decried the massive waste in the public sector and the alarming rate of corruption in governance. He said the economy is crumbling, but those who have been vested with power to put it in shape are freely enjoying State resources at the expense of the poor. Ghana is currently before the International Monetary Fund for a bailout to salvage the ailing economy as the local currency the Ghana Cedi struggles to appreciate against the major currencies, especially the US dollar. You go to the IMF driving in V8 land cruiser while your Cedi is falling and you expect them to have sympathy on you, No!...we are living like Arab Sheikhs, Brig. Gen. Nunoo-Mensah stated on 'PM Express'. The former Chief of Defense Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces noted he will continue to speak out against public officials, despite his party being in power.
