Farmers in the Sekyere Afram Plains have received support from the Norwegian government to enable them produce more food for the country. Disclosing this to Peacefmonline.com, Mayor of Oslo, Fabian Stang noted that agriculture is the back bone of every country's development and that his country is happy to support farmers in the Sekyere Afram Plains and Ghana at large. The support which comes in the form of training, farming inputs and other agricultural equipment will help the farmers to practice modern agriculture which will intend boost the country�s food production. The District Chief Executive for Sekyere Afram Plains, Fuseini Donkor in an interview with Peacefmonline.com expressed his appreciation to the Norwegian government and the mayor of Oslo for their support. He noted that the district which is one of the newly created districts by the government is doing quite well and this support; which is a major boost will go a long way to help in the development of the district.
