Barely a week after the news of Parliament acquiring new furniture from China broke out; Peacefmonline.com has come across one of the wheels at the base of the swivel chair broken, indicating that one of them has already become faulty. Some members of Parliament after the new chamber was furnished with about 300 imported chairs and tables from China complained that the furniture and other accessories in the chamber were not of good quality. They argued that parliament should have given the contract to a local furniture manufacturer as President John Dramani Mahama had ordered; instead of going to China.
