NDC Member of Parliament [MP] for Juaboso, Hon. Kwabena Mintah-Akando has called on the nation to depoliticize labour agitation issues in the country. Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" programme, Hon. Akando advised Ghanaians and political leaders to refrain from attaching political colours to the tier 2 pension funds of public servants. He further bemoaned the culture where workers embark on strike actions, stating that such actions affect the nation's progress. To him, workers should see labour agitations as their last resort after exhausting all alternatives to address their grievances. Also, touching on the issue of the tier 2 pension contributions, the NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ade Coker pledge the government�s commitment to safeguard the workers and secure their pension funds. �Government is saying it wants to be sure that at the end of the process, once pension is guaranteed.� he said.
