Fire Could Rain On Ghana If EC Isnt Cautioned- Chairman Wontumi Warns

Recent uprising in Burkina Faso, has taught us all a lesson that when our leaders fail to do the right thing, the masses could opt for another avenue to correct things even if it means using illegal means. It is of reason that Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has warned that the open display of bias on the part of the Electoral Commission of Ghana could make "hail and brimstone" rain on the nation. He condemned the institution for the lackadaisical attitude they put up during the 2012 elections, which saw Nana Akufo, lose to President Mahama. According to him, there was evidence to attest to the fact that the EC connived with the present government to manipulate the results of the last elections which were declared in favour of Mr Mahama. The Ashanti Regional Chairman made this know when he interacted with Peacefmonline.com. He added that there are more to be learnt from the unrest which occurred in Cote d'ivoire and recently, Burkina Faso when the masses took the law into their own hands. The EC ought to be careful, if you look at the recent exhibition that went on, they used manipulative tactics to expunge names of some voters in the Ashanti region, he disclosed.
