The Kwesimintsim District Police have mounted a search for a woman who allegedly stabbed her male friend to death. Papa Kwesi is said to have bled to death after Maame Mensah threw a knife at him, stabbing him in the thigh. Maame Mensah, who was peeling cassava, allegedly threw the knife at Paa Kwesi after he threw an empty sachet at her. Police Briefing Speaking to the Daily Graphic, the District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Thomas Bayor, said preliminary investigations indicated that the deceased and Maame Mensah were very close friends and lived in the same neighbourhood. He said Wednesday afternoon, Papa Kwesi went to Maame Mensah�s residence on a motorbike while drinking water from a sachet. Mr Bayor said when he finished drinking the water, Paa Kwesi threw the empty sachet at the woman who was then peeling cassava. He said the police gathered that in anger the woman also threw the knife she was using at Papa Kwesi, hitting him in the thigh. The district commander said the deceased fell unconscious as a result of bleeding from the wound and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Mr Bayor urged members of the community to help apprehend the woman to help the police in their investigation.
