Patronize Made-In-Ghana Goods, Fred Agbenyo Tells Parliament

Fred Agbenyo, a member of the NDC Communication Team, has called on the legislative arm of government to patronize Ghanaian made products in order to stimulate local businesses in the country. Speaking on Peace FM's Morning Show "Kokrokoo", Fred Agbenyo bemoaned the act by the Parliamentary Service Board for acquiring chairs from China to refurbish the Parliament House. Parliament acquired materials from China to refurbish the House. The materials which include chairs and some electronic devices are said to have made the House one of the plush Parliament Houses across the globe. However, some chairs were reportedly faulty, bringing into question those who manufactured them. Fred Agbenyo reposed confidence in local carpenters stressing that in some Ministries, quite a number of chairs imported deteriorate quickly, unlike the local ones. According to him, there are local carpenters who have the capacity and capability to provide the house with quality materials and so, the House should employ their services.
