Prez Mahama Frequent Travels For The Betterment Of This Country - Kuntu Blankson

Former NDC Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman East Constituency, Hon. Kuntu Blankson says it is unfortunate that some section of the general public believes President John Dramani Mahamas frequent travels will yield to nothing beneficial for the country. President Mahama has come under a lot of flak for his recent travels. He is currently on an official visit to the Vatican. But Mr. Blankson insist that under no circumstances would the President vacate the country for his personal pleasure whiles issues of national concern are yet to be resolved including labour strikes and other matters. People are saying the President is just touring around the worldbut that is not so. His [President Mahama] travels are for the betterment of this country. Ghana needs help from other countries and the president is soliciting for that, he said In an interview with Peacefmonline.com Kuntu Blankson admitted that the country faced challenges a couple of months back, but gradually the difficult will be over under the current administration. What is going on in this country is not a remarkable achievement for the NDC and it wouldnt be for the NPP as well. We must admit that, the hardship Ghanaians are facing now has been a problem yet to be solved. "...It will take time for the Mahama-led government to solve problems that have brought hardship on the citizenry he opined Commenting on pressure group Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) scheduled demonstration dubbed Aagbe W) which literally means They are killing us, the former NDC lawmaker advised that, the demonstrators must comport themselves whiles expressing their grievances. The demonstrators who have relatives in government must advise them against corruption. If we want to fight corruption, then we must all advise ourselves against the canker, he counseled.
