Aburihene Otobour Djan Kwesi II Publicly Slaps Taxi Driver?

Traditionally, chiefs are not supposed to engage in any open act of hostility, especially when they have declared an oath to serve their people at all times. But this is absolutely not an assurance to absorb nonsense from people by the paramount chief of Aburi. The Aburihene and Adontenhene of Akuapem, Otobour Djan Kwasi II, has been accused of expressing his wrath on a Taxi driver who he claims was irresponsible on the road. According to the driver named Asiedu Daniel, the Aburihene subjected him to several arduous slaps after which he was passed on to some angry youth who never spared him with punches. Asiedu Daniel narrated his ordeal to Peace FM News He claims to be dropping off a traveler from Kitase to Asuafom [suburb of Aburi] but upon reaching a single-road junction to his destination, he was intercepted by the chief. His [Otobour Djan Kwasi II] car crossed me and he asked me to move back so he could pass first...but I insisted I will not because that will be impossible. I explained to him to rather move back for me to proceed but that did not go down well with him [Nana Djan Kwasi] he said. He continued that, "Otobour Djan Kwasi II stepped out from his car, hooked me at the neck while i was behind my steer, and gave me some serious dirty slaps" According to him as if that was not enough, Nana Djan Kwasi tried to pull him out from his car through the window but did not succeed. Since he was unable to drag me from the car, he was assisted by a gentleman [believed to be his bodyguard] to pull me outI was over powered and beaten badly by the youth. Onlookers felt pity for meI couldnt help it but to cry uncontrollably and reported the case to the police. Aburihene Otobour Djan Kwasi II denies the allegation When called by Peace FM News to justify the claims, Otobour Djan Kwasi II opined that, the drivers [Aseidu Daniel] assertions are total fabrications after describing him as a disrespectful person. If he [the driver] claims he is from Kitase, then he should have regarded me as his Chief. I am really shocked he could say all these on radiovery shocked, He lamented. On Saturday,I was from the Aburi palace with my Gyasehene, the Konkonuru Chief heading towards Konkonuru and I was driving myself... I only questioned him but he responded to me in a provocative manner by throwing his hand at me and on top of his voice yelling at me hey hey myself go back! - That was disrespectful. ..He was stubborn and never moved back knowing very well that, that is my official car as the chief of Aburi.. Unknowingly, some youth of the town who spotted the incident moved to the scene...then I sat in my car and sped off. I did not know what happened there. I was later told that he [the driver] was beaten but I never touched him, he said.
