Rawlings Drowns Ade Coker

The hope of Mr Joseph Ade Coker to retain his chairmanship of the Greater Accra NDC have been dealt a major blow following a declaration by the partys founder that he is a spent force. Speaking in an interview on Adom FM morning show Thursday, former President Jerry John Rawlings dismissed Mr Ade Cokers bid, saying he was finished a long time ago. He continued: He is known for some of the unfortunate things that have happened There are other men of integrity who can lead. In a wide ranging interview on the past, present and future of the NDC, President Rawlings also called for sweeping changes in the national leadership of the party, saying many of them have lost the NDC plot. The incumbent Greater Accra NDC Chairman is facing a stiff challenge from Stephen Akwettey and Henry Manly-Spain. After several problems including court injunctions, Greater Accra NDC goes to the polls this Saturday at Dodowa.
