The FIFA corruption report published on Thursday morning clears Qatar to stage the World Cup in 2022 but is remarkably damning about England�s doomed 2018 bid that received just two votes. Ethics judge Hans-Joachim Eckert�s verdict on the investigation into the murky World Cup bids in 2018 and 2022 concludes that Qatar did not do anything that warranted taking the tournament away from them. Astonishingly, he reserved his strongest language for the England campaign being particularly scathing about the attempts to woo the support of disgraced former FIFA ExCo member Jack Warner.
