A former Deputy Communications Director of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Michael Ampong says he is done working for the party. According to him, the latest appointment of communications directors by the party which excludes him, is a direct affront to his long years of service to the party. The NPP on Thursday reappointed its former communications director, Nana Akomea, to lead the party�s communications ahead of the 2016 elections. He is supported by a former National Youth Organiser, Anthony Karbo and the beleaguered acting communications director of the party, Perry Okudzeto. Speaking on Adom FM Friday, Ampong said he is no longer in the position to serve the party in any capacity again. �I think I have served the party long enough, I am almost 40 years and I have been serving the party since I completed the university. I have done my part�. �I now want to be more useful to national politics. I�m not leaving the NPP but I�m no longer willing to work for the party in any capacity,� he stated.
