Manly-Spain: Lets Maintain Unity Of NDC

A Leading member of the Greater Accra National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Henry Ekow Manly- Spain has appealed to the rank-and-file of the party in the region to maintain unity, as well as various political parties, trade unions, civil society organizations (CSOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the country to come together to pursue the vision of the President, John Dramani Mahama to make Ghana a better place for all. Lets all pursue the vision of the president in order to make Ghana a better place for all and sundry since there is strength in unity towards one goal, Manly-Spain appealed. He said there was no way any political party in Ghana could defeat the NDC if unity continues to exist in the party. No party can win elections with divisions among its members; we need to work as one people to retain power come 2016, he advised. Mr. Manly-Spain urged party members to bury their differences and help develop the NDC and push the government to deliver since with a united front we can deliver the Better Ghana Agenda as promised by the President. Mr. Manly-Spain made the appeal in a statement yesterday to rally support for the President and the party ahead of the 2016 elections. We should refrain from politicizing national programmes just for political expediency and work in consensus for a better Ghana, Manly-Spain advised. We need to work closely together as one people from the same political party in order to retain power come 2016 elections, Mr. Manly-Spain advised. He said without unity and peaceful co-existence the NDC cannot experience any meaningful development and thus deliver the Better Ghana Agenda as promised by the President. To this end, Mr. Manly-Spain urged his comrades not to sit on the fence, but to put their shoulders to the wheel to speed up the partys development and progress by helping the government to succeed. Mr. Manly-Spain also expressed his appreciation to all the delegates at the just ended regional congress in Dodowa. He lauded those who shared in his vision of economic empowerment of the constituency and urged them to still keep the faith. According to him, the time has come for the various stakeholders to put forward proposals and activities that will propel the party to a greater height and desist from engaging in activities that will drag the image of the party into disrepute. In addition, he said the cohesion of the country would be ensured if politicians desist from politicizing national issues and adopt consensus rather than engaging in tribal politics.
