Gov't Is Committed To Clamp Down On Drug Dealers - Allotey Jacobs

The Central Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Allotey Jacobs has said the NDC government is committed fighting against narcotics and will not compromise their efforts to clamp down on drug dealers in the country. Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", the newly-elected Regional Chairman asserted that the current administration will not condone any drug related offenses. Were fighting against the drug business along the coast of West Africa. Our foreign partners in this business; they trust Ghana so much, he stated. He urged the nation to depoliticize the issues relating with drug offences. With regard to the recent cocaine case involving Miss Nayeli Ametefeh, who was arrested at Heathrow Airport in London for possessing 12.5kgs of cocaine, Allotey Jacobs vehemently refuted any claims that the busted "cocaine lady" is a close ally to any government official. She is not an NDC member. Shes not close to anybody, he strongly stated.
