Former Education Minister and High Commissioner to South Africa, Lee Ocran has sent a congratulatory message to all the contestants in the just ended regional level elections of the ruling National Democratic Party (NDC). In a Press Release, the former Member of Parliament for Jomoro in the Western Region stated: �I wish to congratulate all our gallant, hardworking members upon whom responsibility has been freshly handed to manage the affairs of the National Democratic Congress at the regional level for the next four years. You have been given a tough but doable duty, and I have a lot of confidence in you all to succeed�. He further advised victors of the elections to extend a hand to the vanquished in order to work together towards the 2016 general elections. According to Lee Ocran, the NDC has �remained solid, as election machine over the years, despite the machinations by our opponents to sow discord among our grassroot supporters�. ��We have been able to surmount these challenges because of party unity and discipline and urge all to continue to exhibit these noble attributes to ensure victory in 2016�. He also reminded all members of the party, especially the newly elected officials of the party of the fact that "..as a party in government, the people's hopes depend on us�.
