Opposition Alliance Resurrected - Association Of Professional Bodies To Fight Mahama

A relentless crusade to get rid of the Mahama-led government even before its four your mandate ends is been taken to a higher notch as opposition elements behind the plot are busily scheming to re-enact the campaign that led to the overthrow of Generals Kutu Acheampong and Frederick William Kwasi Akuffo in the late 1970. Latest information filtering into the office of The aL-hAJJ revealed likeminded renegades and extremist members of the opposition, in a fashion similar to that of the erstwhile Peoples Movement For Freedom and Justice (PMJF), a political pressure grouping dedicated to the removal of the Generals Kutu Acheampong and later Frederick William Kwasi Akuffos Supreme Military Council governments have upped their evil and dastardly plans: to make the country ungovernable in order to depose the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress administration. In order to achieve this objective, members of the group are reported to be meeting to bring back to life the redundant Association of Professional Bodies (APB) that worked in close collaboration with opposition PMFJ to kick out the then National Redemption Council and Supreme Military Council governments. The aL-hAJJs intelligence shows that suggestions for the revival of the Association of Professional Bodies was put forward by a veteran Ghanaian politician who is also a prominent legal practitioner and an integral member of the Peoples Movement For Freedom and Justice, best known for his prowess in violent agitations in the past. Under the guise of demanding good governance and offering constructive criticism, members of the new APB, which will include leaders of trade unions, Ghana Medical Association, the Bar association, University Lecturers, the Clergy, Judges, retired security officers, Media associations etc, will work in tandem with the Minority in Parliament and the general opposition to be led by Nana Akufo Addo. Although the PMFJs actions in the 1970s were against military dictatorial regime, the latest rebellious groups modus operandi, targeted at a constitutionally elected government, a source has told this paper would be along the lines of the Ukraine/Arab spring-like mass insurrections. emboldened by the mass insurrections in Ukraine, the Arab spring and the recent one in neighboring Burkina Faso that ended President Blaise Campoares 27 year rule, the modern day coupists, according to sources, are bent on staining the Mahama government with charges of incompetence, maladministration and corruption to bring it at loggerheads with the Ghanaian populace. To consolidate their efforts, these miscreants are reported to be working to bring all professionals opposed to the Mahama administration under one umbrella. They intend to employ unorthodox methods to instigate labor agitations, strikes, sit-downs and demonstrations and civil disobedience which as expected, will eventually bring the nation unto its knees. As part of the plot, respected technocrats, experts and so-called analysts are to intensify their harsh criticism of government and paint a gloomy picture of the country under the NDC led government to hoodwink Ghanaian and the international community into believing that the ruling government is insensitive to the plight of ordinary Ghanaians, hence unfit to rule. Heralding the massing up to takeover public buildings including Parliament House, Ministries etc., the group behind the plot sources says; plan to organize symposia, public lectures and media campaign to drum their message to majority of people. Recent agitations on the labor front and NPP dominated Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) demonstrations in Accra are part of a well-crafted program lined-up to aid the realization of this dastardly act. The supposed symposium by IMANI Ghana and OccupyGhana on corruption was also reported to have been part of the wider plot
