Leaders Of "OccupyGhana" Under Attack...Homes Being Raided

Sydney Casely Hayford, a leading member of "OccupyGhana" has revealed that the frontiers of the pressure group have seen a sudden spate of home raids and vehicular tyre tampering after their activities to press home behavioral change in the country picked up steam. Speaking at Thursday's 2nd Occupy Corruption Forum held at the Christ the King Hall, Mr Casely- Hayford revealed that members of the movement have experienced various levels of attack. According to Mr. Hayford, two weeks ago, two members of occupy Ghana had their homes raided. Phones, laptops, money and other personal properties were stolen. Just last night, he said, Dr. Esi Ansah, an Ashesi University Lecturer, who spoke at last week's forum, had her home raided as well. Mr. Casely- Hayford narrated that last night he had his left front tyre flying off his car. According to him, he has never had any such issues with his car. "Bolts holding the tyre were missing. Thankfully, I wasn't doing more than 5miles per hour when the tyre came off so escaped unharmed," he said. It doesn't end there, he says. He added that he had a frantic call from Egbert Faibille Jnr. that he has also discovered that all six (6) bolts on his car tyres had been loosened. Somebody obviously doesn't like us, he said. He questioned whether it was truly just a coincidence that members of the "occupyGhana" team are suddenly having their car tyre bolts loosened and having their homes raided and properties stolen. Mr. Casely- Hayford on Oman Fms Morning Show reaffirmed his determination as a leading member of "OccupyGhana" to continue the fight despite the occurrences; adding he is rather motivated by the attacks as he has seen the positive effect of their activities in the country. He however said he is not prepared to report the case to the police for any protection. The CEO of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe on Okay FMs Ade Akye Abia Morning Show has also narrated how his car was snatched away from him in the middle of the road. He insisted the attacks on the leading members of "OccupyGhana" cannot be mere coincidence as he suspect an agenda behind the spate of the attacks on them.
