Dont Be Used By Politicians For Violence

Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, has advised youth in the region not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to create chaos and lawlessness in the area. The youth, he said, should rather focus on planning for their future and the development of the region which has been lacking human resource and infrastructural development for some years now. Alhaji Muniru Limuna who was launching GN Bank as a Universal Bank in Tamale last week also challenged people of the region to be disciplined and not support any indiscipline, especially from the youth, as it discourages investors from setting up businesses there. His advice follows an attack on the Northern Regional Coordinating Council by some irate youth of the region who were calling for his removal as minister. Alhaji Limuna said if the regional minister is attacked today, then it means no one is safe in the region because tomorrow they will attack our chiefs, a statement, which drew much attention from the packed crowd which seemed to agree with him, noted. Earlier, the regional minister congratulated GN Bank for attaining universal status, and also commended them for ignoring all odds to open branches in the north. It is heartwarming that GN Banks concept of Mobile Banking where they recruit SHS/ Diploma graduates to visit customers in their homes, shops and even farms backed by their mobile vans is adding creativity and dynamism to banking in this country. it is my hope that the bank continues to work diligently without much funfair to maintain its legendary status of being the friendly bank for the students, traders, workers, professionals, and micro, small and medium scale entrepreneurs, Alhaji Limuna stated. He also advised those who have had the opportunity to be employed by the bank to exhibit a high sense of professionalism, trust, loyalty, and integrity in the discharge of their duties in order to earn the confidence of their existing and potential customers of the bank. General Manager Corporate Banking, GN Bank, Henry Lamptey, debunked the assertion that the bank has been sold. Mr. Lamptey noted that there are quite a number of First National institutions in South Africa and Chicago in the United States of America (USA,) hence they decision to rebrand to avert any confusion as the bank turned a universal bank. He noted however that apart from the name and colours, the corporate mission of the bank, and its friendly nature has not changed. To be a National Bank for the ordinary person, providing close-to-client banking services throughout Ghana and be known for the excellent customer service while creating wealth for our stakeholders that is what we are now, Mr. Lamptey reiterated. He also noted that the bank is moving from Customer Satisfaction to Customer Delight by employing the Customer Journey where excellent services begin from the attendant at the car park.
