Deputy Minority Leader Takes A Bag Of Cocaine To Parliament House

Proceedings in Parliament had to be suspended for 10 minutes on Tuesday, November 25 when the Speaker and members of the Majority were infuriated by an action of the Deputy Minority Leader, Dominic Nitiwul. The Member of Parliament for Bimbilla Constituency had showcased a 12-kilogramme bag of rice on the floor, expressing wonder how that could have escaped the eyes of security agencies at the VVIP Lounge of the Kotoka International Airport in a handbag. He was insinuating the 12.5kg of cocaine busted of Nayele Ametefe at the Heathrow International Airport in London. Mr Nitiwuls action infuriated the Majority Leader, Alban Bagbin, who pointed at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at being notorious for trafficking drugs.
