Ghana Doesnt Need Leaders Who Can Pay School Fees And Practice Corruption

President of Dansoman Methodist Circuit Guild, Mr. Atta Dabone Snr has appealed to kingmakers of the country to choose leaders who have the fear of God in them as they will not compromise with nation wreckers to sink the progress of the country. The President of the Dansoman Methodist Circuit Guild made this appeal when he and 11 other officers were inducted into office to seek the welfare of the Methodist Church and also to ensure that new churches are planted across the country. Speaking in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Mr. Atta Dabone said it is his prayer that as the nation strives to fight corruption in the country, parents can play their role by inculcating the teachings of discipline, honesty and self-contentment into their children as they grow up. He further appealed that those who have the mandate to choose leaders for the country should not base their choice on face value to look for people who can pay their childrens school fees, knowing very well that they engage in corruption. He insisted on Ghanaians to choose leaders who fear God and will not be compromised in any way as this is the only way that God can help the country to progress to the height the nation wants to attain. When it comes to corruption, as a Circuit Guild in the Methodist Church, we want to appeal to parents to inculcate the teachings of discipline, honesty and self-contentment into their children so that when they grow up, they will be responsible leaders devoid of corruption; we pray that when they give birth, the first breast milk they give to their children will ease away this corruption in schools, churches and in offices so that we have a country free from corruption.those who are choosing leaders in this country should choose people who fear God because if they fear God, they wont engage in corruption and other social vices that have consequences on the countrys development; dont choose those who can pay your school fees for your wards and still practice corruption, he appealed. He however revealed five (5) policy areas for the next 3 years for the Methodist Church Ghana, Dansoman Circuit that will help the church to grow and seek the welfare of members of the church. He said that his leadership will ensure the spiritual development of the church by way of fasting and prayers, Bible studies and Evangelism; train the church to cultivate the habit of savings and by helping the Guild Members to identify their potentials in life. He therefore encouraged parents to develop personal interest in their wards education by forming alliance with teachers responsible their children in schools in order to monitor their wards behaviors and academic performances as many of the children have doubled lifestyles in schools which eventually will have consequences on the nation.
