The Chief Executive Officer of Kasapreko Company Limited, manufacturer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Dr. Kwabena Adjei has revealed that, the company has been named by The Cable News Network [CNN] among the top 5 emerging brands worldwide. He made this disclosure when the Minster of Local Government, Mr. Julius Debrah paid a courtesy call at the factory last Friday to acquaint himself with the production work of the company. KWABENA ADJEI � MANAGING DIRECTOR, KASAPREKO COMPANY LIMITED Honourable Minister, Directors of the Ministry, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press, Management and staff of Kasapreko Company Limited I welcome you all to Kasapreko� The Home of AUTHENTIC AFRICAN BITTERS�. Our DNA has remained the same since we were born 25 years ago-to deliver products of the highest quality at affordable prices. Kasapreko can today boast of brand new state-of-the-art packaging lines with the combined capacity of 70,000 bottles per hour from Krones (Germany). Alomo Bitters, our flagship brand is the number one bitters in Ghana, Nigeria and several other parts of Africa and has won several awards. A poll held by CNN Money late last year ranked ALOMO BITTERS to be amongst the top five brands that will go big within the next five years in the whole world. Honorable Minister, I�m happy to say Kasapreko is making Ghana and Africa very proud as Alomo Bitters was the only African brand to have be listed within that group. We were recently awarded Manufacturing Company of The Year 2013 by the Charted Institute of Marketing Ghana. Honorable Minister, over the years Kasapreko has attached great importance to the environment in which it�s operates� in. We are working assiduously to ensure that our immediate environments are always clean and safe. We promote the re-use of waste material such as poly bags, cartons, wood from old pallets and bottles by selling them to individuals who in turn re-use them for other purposes. By doing this, we minimize the waste to our land fields. We manage other waste, like the metallic closures used for our bottles by compacting them and later picked up by Zoom Lion to ensure proper disposal. We also monitor our liquid waste on regular basis and report to EPA on monthly basis to ensure compliance with EPA regulations. Honorable Minister, in this regard, I�m happy to inform you that we have commenced civil works on a EU 500,000 waste water treatment project which will treat waste water from our factory before discharging into the drains. We are expecting the equipment to arrive in January, installation will take two months after which we hope to commission the plant by April 2015. This project will help preserve the aqua system and lead to the recycling of waste water to be used in our toilets and watering our lawns. We can also derive sludge, a bi-product from the waste treatment process that can be used as organic fertilizers for our farmers. Honorable minister, this project will create jobs for our fellow Ghanaians as the equipment�s will require personnel to run and maintain them. Honorable Minister, let me use this opportunity to commend your laudable initiative �the National Sanitation Day Clean-up exercise�. I wish to encourage our fellow Ghanaians to keep our environments clean at all times, by doing this we will reduce the negative impact unclean environments have on our communities and country as a whole. It is said that cleanliness is next to Godliness! In that direction Kasapreko is supporting the National Sanitation Day Clean-up exercise with a cash donation of Ghs 30,000, shovels, wheel barrows, rakes, hand gloves and nose masks.
