Reverend Minister Urges Christians To Go For Medical Examination

A Reverend Minister, has advised Christians to conduct regular medical examinations, to know their health status. Pastor Yaw Osei Owusu, Brong-Ahafo Regional Overseer of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry, who gave the advice, entreated Christians who have not registered with the National Health Insurance Scheme, to do so for their own good. Addressing pastors, youth and other leaders of the church at the 2014 leaders planning meeting in Sunyani, Pastor Owusu emphasized that faith was very essential, but it was also paramount for Christians to know their health status. The Regional Overseer said, it was not wrong for Christians to go for medical check-ups, and recommended that it was appropriate every human being went for medical screening in every six months. Pastor Owusu pointed out that the church could not fulfill its mandate on earth if Christians remained unhealthy, and condemned the habit of self medication among some people. He explained personal hygiene, good eating habits, and regular exercises, made the body stronger at all times, and advised Christians to eat more fruits and take less meat. Pastor Owusu noted that aside spiritual development, regular fasting was also good for physical growth and development.
