How Will Toilet Rolls And Alcoholic Beverages Benefit Farmers - Adomako Baafi

Deputy Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi has described the awards given to farmers in the Eastern Region as nonsensical and insulting after their effort to provide food for Ghanaians. According to him, the toilet rolls and the Joy Daddy Bitters given to farmers depict that the Mahama led administration has no respect for anyone in this country because they know Ghanaians didnt vote for them. Speaking on Oman FMs National Agenda, Yaw Adomako Baafi wondered how the toilet rolls and the alcoholic beverages were going to motivate farmers to boost the agricultural industry when the cocoa industry lacks mass spraying exercise, fertilizer application and the cocoa farmers bonus for the past 3 years have not been paid. To him, agriculture is the foundation of the countrys economy as every move must be made to motivate others into the industry; revealing that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in agriculture has reduced under the NDC government to close to 3 percent in comparison to 7.1 percent GDP when the NPP was leaving office. He insisted that every effort of the NDC government should be geared towards making agriculture attractive as Outboard motors for fish farming is now sold for GH14,000 but used to sell at GH2,700 under the NPP. Thus, this government should have given something back to the farmers after one year of struggle in cultivating their lands and using limited resources and not to insult them in these awards which do not add up to the improvement of the agricultural industry. He however warned Joy Daddy Bitters Company for associating itself with the NDC government as every company which has associated with this government has collapsed. NDC government is so arrogant and full of themselves. They dont respect human beings because they know the people didnt vote for them and if not, agriculture is the foundation of the countrys economy. They should not insult them with toilet rolls and Joy Daddy Bitters; how do they expect Agricultural industry to boost our GDP when they have decided to motivate farmers with toilet rolls and alcoholic beverages?, he quizzed.
