One of NDC founding members contesting for the position of National Treasurer Alhaji Abdallah Ahmed-Abdallah has advised aspirants and their supporters to desist from attacking individual personalities who sort to contest them for the same position.
According to the NDC guru chief, internal party contest should not be seen as do-and-die affair but rather as contest of ideas, programs and policies.
The former party Regional Chairman for the Brong Ahafo Region also noted that individuals who insult and attack their fellow party member lacks true understanding of democracy.
Alhaji Abdallah Ahmed-Abdallah, also known as Alhaji PMC was speaking exclusively to The aL-hAJJ in an interview in Accra after filling his nomination papers to contest for the position of National Treasurer of the NDC in the up-coming national delegates congress slated for Kumasi on December 20th, 2014.
To him, hurling insults on each other would only mean given more powers to the party�s political opponent to feed their propaganda machinery.
According to the NDC party guru, �what is important in the internal party elections was to roll out your plans and ideas on how to help the party at the branch, constituent and to the national levels�.
�One should think of how to resource all constituencies across the country, by so doing that will go a long way to help create jobs and to reduce burden on national executives�, he said.
The founding member explained that this approach would enables all constituencies in the country establish its own business aimed at developing their communities and to create jobs for the locals.
He said a political party like the NDC has the responsibility to transformed lives of the people especially the less privileged in society.
Alhaji PMC said if given the nod he would ensure all constituencies have their share of business quota and programs.
He said as a social democrat there has been a huge disconnect between the party top hierarchy and its grassroot.
He hinted that his intention was to establish a sustainable business for the youth of the party in all the constituencies that would create thousands of jobs for the party members.
The business mogul and contractor who has demonstrated his capability by helping the party foot soldiers and the less endowed in the society over the years was very optimistic of winning the election.
