2012 campaign manager of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boakye Agyako has asked if the ghost of late Professor John Evans Atta Mills is what is haunting national organizer of the party, Yaw Boateng Gyan to be threatening to reveal the cause of his death. The former Bank of New York Governor while commenting on issues surrounding the death of the late President of Ghana on Oman fm Tuesday said that the torment Mr. Boateng Gyan is currently going through is what would cause him to come public and lay the facts the facts concerning the death of Prof Mills bare. The Chronicle Newspaper reported that Mr. Boateng Gyana was threatening to reveal the killers of the third President of the fourth republic if he is pushed further by his contenders of an internal party race. This has led various groups including concerned indigenes from the hometown of the late Ghana leader to demand of the national security to invite the NDC organizer for further questioning. Mr. Agyarko said on the Accra-based station that he supports those calls stating further that if it was possible for the police to arrest Hip Life musician, Kwaw Kesse for smoking marijuana in public, then it should be possible for the security to invite Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan. He added he was of the belief that Mr. Boateng Gyan was not only making empty threats but rather being forced by an unseen force to come public on what he knows about the death of the former leader. President John Evans Atta Mills died of unknown causes in July 2012, some few months to the General Elections. Various religious groups and individuals have since called for investigations into the death of the law Professor and the findings made public.
