Prez Mahama Leaves For Kenya

President John Dramani Mahama will today leave Accra for Kenya for a three-day state visit. While in Kenya, the President will be a special guest at the 51st Independence Anniversary Celebration of that country on Friday December 12, 2014, a statement from the Presidency said. President Mahama will be in Nairobi at the invitation of President Uhuru Kenyatta who is making efforts to �rekindle the fraternal bond and relations between his father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.� The two leaders are expected to discuss issues on how Ghana and Kenya can influence a new agenda of increased trade among African countries. President Mahama, Chair of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and President Kenyetta, Chair of the East African Community (EAC) will also �share their perspectives on how to drive the African renaissance and integration process.� President Mahama is also expected to visit the Mzee Jomo Kenyatta Mausoleum and meet with the United Nations Staff in Kenya. In the evening of Friday, the President will meet and interact with the Ghanaian community in Kenya.
