Im Happy Insanity Is Prevailing At Ghana Gas

A former Deputy Minister of Energy, K. T. Hammond has expressed satisfaction over governments decision to execute the legal instrument assigning its entire shareholding in Ghana Gas to the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). According to him, Ghana Gas was a five man show; adding that, it was long overdue for government to have done the appropriate thing of putting Ghana Gas where it belonged. The Ministry of Energy Wednesday announced a complete takeover of the Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) by GNPC. However, the Board of Directors of Ghana Gas says it has neither filed any resolution nor the necessary papers to effect the change of ownership of the company. Expressing pleasure in the current state of affairs between the Energy Ministry and Ghana Gas, Mr Hammond said, Im happy that insanity has broken out between all of them... I have always held the view that there was no need for the creation of this Ghana GasI find it quite interesting why the turf war. He asserted that some people within Ghana Gas were not happy over the takeover, adding that, I absolutely have no sympathy for them at all. Mr Hammond was still convinced that there was no need for Ghana Gas and if there was a need for it, it should have been done properly. If it has been reverted to GNPC, I think so be it, he said.
