NDC Congress: Alhaji Hudu Yahaya Bows Out Of Chairmanship Race

The National Executive Congress of the governing party is ongoing with the delegates ready to elect new executives for the party. But even before the list of the executives being elected by the delegates comes out, Alhaji Hudu Yahaya, NDC National Chairmanship contender, has surprisingly stepped down. Prior to the Congress, Alhaji Hudu Yahaya was reported to have said he will never "succumb to pressures from the Presidency for their man to step down." However, Alhaji Haruna Iddrisu, Trade Minister and co-MC for the Congress announced to the assembled party faithfuls and delegates that Alhaji Yahaya has finally withdrawn from the contest. Currently, the contest is between the incumbent National Chairman, Kwabena Adjei and NADMO Boss, Kofi Portuphy.
