Rawlings Lauds Kojo Bonsu

Former President Jerry John Rawlings has commended the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mr Kojo Bonsu, for transforming Kumasi into a clean city. I wish to acknowledge how neat and beautiful Kumasi is looking today. I hope the people will continue to keep their houses and environment clean as always, he said as he acknowledged the good works of the CEO. Mr Rawlings, who was delivering a speech at the just-ended National Delegates Congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, showed appreciation to Mr Bonsu and his team for their efforts towards keeping the city very green. Mr Bonsu has initiated a number of programmes lately, including the night cleaning exercise and the picking of plastics by a special group to ensure that the city was clean. Apart from the assemblys personal initiative, the governments National Sanitation Day held on the first Saturday of each month had contributed to the citys neatness.
