Music Producer, Goodies Released From Prison

While the media reports that rapper Kwaw Kese would either spend Christmas in jail or in the hospital, there seems to be some good news for Isaac Abeiku Aidoo, aka Godies. The CEO of Goodies Music, who was serving a 13-year jail term for possessing 80 pellets of cocaine, was released from the Nsawam Prison Tuesday, December 23. He is popularly called, was arrested on April 23, 2008 at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) for attempting to traffic cocaine to London. He was sentenced on November 26, 2008 by an Accra Circuit Court, having been found guilty of exporting narcotic drugs without lawful authority. He was released Wednesday after serving six years of his sentence. It is not clear yet why he was granted an early release. Goodies, before his incarceration, produced several musicians including VIP, Mzbel, Lord Kenya, Tic Tac, Sydney, Nana Quame of �Odo Shock� fame.
