Although some of the finest Gh acts like Samini, Okyeame, Trigmatic , MvZee, Joey B made it to the firth edition of Loud In Gh last Tuesday at the Accra International Conference Centre, the concert failed to live up to its billing as the best edition.
The organisers, YFM, had promised an outdoor carnival before the main show but that aspect was hardly noticed by patrons. The show itself started at 10pm when with some underground artistes before the popular artistes came on stage.
Samini, Okyeame, Trigmatic , MvZee thrilled patrons with their performances but they were all allotted only a limited time. Samini, we all know, would have loved to perform for an hour or more but he just sang four songs. I do not know whether it was the organisers idea to do it that way or the show was running late.
There seemed to have been too many D.J�s on the night and they did not really add much to the show since most of them repeated songs that had been played already.
Attendance was not encouraging looking at previous editions of the concert. Perhaps the organisers should do a serious review for next year.
