Ghanaians Have Comported Themselves; Crime Reduced In Christmas This Year - Police PRO

Ghana Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Cephas Arthur has credited Ghanaians for comporting themselves by reducing crime rate during the festive period. According to him, police operations during the yuletide went well due to the way Ghanaians adhered to public education to stay away from crime, though the Police is still collating activities of the whole year to ascertain the gravity of crime before, during and after Christmas. Speaking on Oman Fm�s Morning Show, DSP Cephas Arthur said the Ghana Police will continue with efforts to sustain some of their operational strategies tailored for specific security arrangement for every occasion in the country. He maintained that security arrangement will be sustained after Christmas to reduce crime rate drastically. �We also thank Ghanaians for helping the Police to make our work this Christmas successful, though the festivity is not over; we are recording every incident in this festivity and so very soon the records will be come out��but so far, what we have heard and seen in town, the Christmas has largely been peaceful; Ghanaians generally have comported themselves well and the few who are still engaging in crime are scared of the presence of the Police�..we will try our best to continue to strengthen our security arrangement drastically and eradicate thought of crime in Ghana�, he stated.
